Jerry R. MacLean is the founder and CEO of MacLean Agency. With 50 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Jerry brings a remarkable depth of expertise and professional passion to the agency. He serves as mentor and leader, overseeing the agency’s vision and business development.
Jerry got his start in 1966 as an agent with Prudential Insurance Company in Matawan, New Jersey. In 1986, he moved his family and his practice to Princeton. Jerry established his agency in the heart of downtown, where it has been a part of the local fabric for 30 years. Jerry has built his business and his reputation on helping people and serving the community. His trademark candor and integrity inspire both trust and confidence in clients and colleagues alike. Jerry preserves the agency’s high touch customer service through organic growth strategies.
Over the course of his career, Jerry has earned countless national honors and company citations, and was a Qualifying and Life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for over three decades. Jerry holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) designation. He is also an Advisory Board Member for The Bank of Princeton.
Jerry loves being surrounded by family and feels fortunate to have a daughter, brother, nephew, and godson all working alongside him. Jerry currently resides in Cape May with his wife, Ellen. They’ve been married over 50 years and have two grown daughters and a late son. Jerry is an enthusiastic gardener and a dedicated man of faith. He contributes to many religious and charitable organizations.
